Triggers: The Gift You Didn't Ask For (But Might Need)
Have you ever had one of those moments where something small—a sound, a smell, or a specific tone of voice—instantly puts you on high alert? Whether it’s a mild "ugh" or a full-blown panic attack, most people see these emotional triggers as an awful, permanent curse.
But as The Emotional Baggage Handler, I look at them differently. What if those triggers are actually a gift? Think of a trigger as a tap on the shoulder from your subconscious; it is a signal letting you know that something within you still needs to be addressed or healed.
These unhealed places aren't always just about what just happened in the moment. They can be:
Past trauma you experienced.
Trapped emotional energies, whether experienced, absorbed, inherited, or otherwise.
Imbalances within the body or energetic field.
Subconscious limiting beliefs we hold.
A combination of several of these issues.
Turning Dysregulation into Relief
In my own journey, I reached a point where I shifted my perspective on triggers. Instead of dreading these moments of dysregulation or simply putting up with them, I began to see them as an incredible opportunity for healing.
I started using the specific event and my immediate reaction as the focus topic for my sessions. By using the Emotion, Body, and Belief Code modalities, I am able to identify exactly what is sitting beneath those reactions and then release the issues.
By addressing the root cause, the energetic charge dissolves. Over time, you become much less reactive to the stimuli that used to cause the trigger, resulting in better emotional regulation and less reactivity overall. That immediate state of high alert is replaced by genuine, lasting relief.

Note: While energy healing modalities like The Emotion Code, The Body Code, and The Belief Code can be incredibly supportive for emotional wellness, I make no claims of "healing" or "curing" medical or psychiatric conditions like PTSD or anxiety disorders. These sessions are intended to balance the body’s energy and are designed to complement, not replace, professional medical or psychiatric care. Always consult with your healthcare provider regarding any medical or mental health concerns. Individual results may vary!
