The Hidden Block Stopping Your Creative Flow
You know the feeling. You’re staring at a blank screen like a deer in headlights with no idea what to say or where to start. You have a message to share, but the words just won’t come.
That’s exactly where I was tonight. Instead of forcing it, I stopped everything and decided to muscle test myself to see what might be beneath this blockage. Sure enough, there were trapped emotions at play. I was able to identify and release two trapped emotions: Creative Insecurity, an absorbed trapped emotion from childhood, and Defensiveness, a Heart-Wall trapped emotion from only one month ago.
For those who don't speak this language, Creative Insecurity is defined as a feeling of being unsafe or untrusting of your own inner guidance. It’s the block that stops you from creating, from launching, or even from finishing a simple task—whether it's in your career, your health, art, or, as in my case, writer’s block.
In my Kansas City energy healing practice, I often remind clients that anything can cause anything, at any time. Most people tend to look for logical, linear reasons for why they’re stuck, assuming it’s a lack of time, a lack of ideas, or a lack of motivation. But the reality is often more subtle. An emotion can be trapped in your field from years ago, or it can be triggered by something entirely unrelated that happened just last week.
Energy doesn’t follow a schedule, and it doesn't always care about your to-do list.
I took a few minutes to clear those imbalances, and the mental fog lifted immediately. It wasn't about hustling harder; it was about identifying the energetic noise that was preventing me from showing up.
If you are feeling stuck in your creative projects or your daily life, don’t assume the problem is you. It may just be an energetic imbalance that is ready to be released.
Stop pushing against the problem. Start clearing it.
